Move for Kids 2022
Why Move For Kids
It takes all of us to provide a healthier future for the kids we care about.
Ten years ago, Move for Kids was started to celebrate the move to our new hospital. Since then, it has become a celebration of community, family and what’s possible when we come together for the kids we care about. Join us to celebrate all we've accomplished in the past ten years with a 3-mile walk and rally for our patients, families, friends and neighbors, plus the Grant Thornton Kids Dash for our youngest supporters. Registration is free and anyone can participate. We encourage all participants to fundraise to support patient families facing financial challenges and deliver care in underserved neighborhoods so every child can have a healthier future.Register
Team Lurie Children’s
In 2012, Tim was the first patient at the new hospital to undergo a life-saving heart transplant.
Before his transplant, Tim was one of the 127 patients moved from Lincoln Park to Streeterville, where he was admitted to the Regenstein Cardiac Care Unit, a state-of-the-art 44-bed unit devoted to the care of young patients with cardiac disease.
Today, 15-year-old Tim is finishing up his freshman year of high school, loves to play tennis and is learning to drive. Tim and his family look forward to walking at the 10th annual Move for Kids!
